Rundu Namibia

Rundu is the capital of the Kavango-East Region, located in northern Namibia, on the border with Angola. It is situated on the banks of the Kavango River, approximately 1,000 meters (3,300 feet) above sea level. The area typically receives an average annual rainfall of 565 millimeters (22.2 inches), although in the 2010/2011 rainy season, 757 millimeters (29.8 inches) were recorded. Rundu is experiencing rapid growth. The 2001 census recorded a population of 36,964, and by the 2011 census, this number had increased to 63,430.
