Sidemen is an administrative district in the Karangasem Regency of Bali Province, Indonesia, with a population of 3,780 (2010 census). Set in a fertile valley, Sidemen’s small villages are surrounded by lush rice fields and productive farmland. The area is known for its traditional rural life, terraced landscapes, and views of the surrounding hills. Located in East Bali in the Karangasem Regency, Sidemen is about a 1‑hour drive from Ubud. It has a tropical climate with an average temperature of 24°C (75°F). The green, mountainous terrain brings more rainfall than many other parts of Bali, even during the dry season.
