Trois-Rivières is the second-oldest city in Quebec, founded in 1634. It lies almost halfway between Montreal and Quebec City and makes a nice stopover when traveling between those two cities. The main attraction in Trois-Rivières is the old town, or vieille-ville, clustered by the river along Rue des Ursulines. It’s much smaller than those of Montreal or Quebec City, but it’s quietly picturesque and worth a stroll. Trois-Rivières is a perfect stop halfway between Quebec City and Montreal. Located right along the scenic St. Lawrence River, it offers plenty of photo opportunities, historical points of interest, and excellent dining options.
